1.0         PHILANTROPISTS AND FRIENDS OF EAST AFRICA


2.0        ARTICLE 1: The name of the organization is Philanthropists and friends of East Africa hereinafter referred as the organization.





2.0       PART 11: OBJECTIVES

2.1       ARTICLES II: MAIN OBJECTIVES

The main purpose of the organization is to assist children living in informal settlements affected by the aftermath of the post general elections as well as those infected and affected by HIV / AIDS.

ARTICLE III: SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES



            a)        To provide formal education to the children using modern technology and Montessori method of learning so as to create a window of hope for the future especially to the ones who are financially unstable.

            b)        To devise programmes and methods that will assist the children in holistic development i.e. mental, social and emotional, physical and sensorial (training of the senses).

            c)        To research on HIV/AIDS and to design a mitigating welfare programme for the children infected and affected by the courage.

            d)        To improve the capacity of the children and involvement in promoting total health care in slum areas communities through networking with other community partners and existing structures.

            e)        To initiate a hospital at Kawangware that will undertake preventive and curative as well as developing / supporting activities to the children.







             f)        Help creating an empowered youth able to productively contribute to positive national development in Kenya at large by way of promoting morals and behaviours acceptable in the society.


            g)        To strive towards ensuring that human rights and fundamental freedom are recognized and enjoyed in the Kenyan Community children especially following the post-election violence and displacements.


            h)        To provide education through training and counseling of the children on matters pertaining to HIV/AIDS and eradication of female genital mutilation.

             i)        To at large involve ourselves by ways of supporting to improve conditions of the poor and the disadvantaged within the community in addressing: Poor health status, HIV/AIDS, Low education standards.

              j)        To promote a positive change in the children’s lives by catering for humanitarian needs, organizing a home for the children which caters for: contemporary issues with key areas such as self esteem, discipline, independence, equality of gender, counseling,   relief through rehabilitation.

            k)        To design, plan and implement / promote support projects/ and or programmes that are geared towards poverty alleviation, a health environment and sustainable system for water supply, sanitation, waste disposal and food production for all the other children and their families and their community at large.
